Peer Gynt Dancers Sing, Dance and Win Ribbons at Sons of Norway International Convention

What a great way to begin the 2018-2019 season!

Peer Gynt Dancers created a flag arch and ushered in the International Officers and International Directors at the 2018 Sons of Norway Convention held at the Hyatt Regency in Bloomington.
The Peer Gynt Dancers were part of the opening ceremony.
A trio of singers from Peer Gynt lead the singing of the three national anthems: Oh, Canada, Ja Vi Elsker and the Star Spangled Banner just before the color guard presented the flags. During the memorial service, the trio sang two songs “på norsk,” Blott en Dag and O Store Gud.
Two Peer Gynt Heritage members of Synnøve-Nordkap won ribbons for their paintings. Claudia Stow, 2nd place winner, created a fjord scene with clouds over the mountains. Killian Stow, 3rd place winner, painted Bergen, Norway by night along the Bryggen waterfront. Congratulations Claudia and Killian!

Thanks to Ron Stow for the photos
